We hope that you take time to visit the wide variety of reading materials the Hope School Library has to offer. The spacious, warm, cheerful, and inviting environment enhances the joy of reading for your children. We encourage you make this your first stop in search of books, whether it is for homework or your reading pleasure. |
Students participate in our reading programs starting in Kindergarten with the "Raptor Reader" series and weekly visits to the library for story time, and to check out a book.
Students in grades 1 - 6 participate with their classes in the Accelerated Reader Program. Several times a year, students take the STAR test which determines their individualized reading range. They select books with AR quizzes in their levels and currently the library has more than 4,769 quizzes from which to choose. |
Special events include a Book Exchange, Chaucer's Book Fairs, and a Scholastic Book Fair at the end of the school year. Please contact Mrs. Wasem if you are interested in volunteering in the library. Donations of books and games are always appreciated.
